Welcome to the Learning in Museums: Foundations microcourse. Over a learning experience of 10-15 hours, you will explore foundational concepts for teaching and learning that can apply in different ways to a range of museum and cultural heritage site contexts. The course is designed to be flexible, with choices and optional readings throughout. There are also several thinking tools provided that are there for you to use or not, depending on your learning preferences. Finally, there are many application activities embedded. The course assumes that you are currently working in a museum in which you can apply your learning. If you are not currently working in a museum, there will be opportunities to build your skills, albeit, not in quite as practical a way.
